Costa Rica is regarded as one of the world’s premiere coffee growing regions, thanks to its volcanic soil and ideal drainage. Costa Rican coffees are a popular choice for their awesome excellent chocolaty flavor notes and fruity undertones. The combination of volcanic soil, high altitude plantations, and the farmers expertise produces some really, fine specialty coffees. 1) ROASTING COFFEE to perfection is truly an art, a distinct set of skills developed over time with experience. The most basic description of the roasting process would be that the beans need to be heated to around 400*F in about 7-12 minutes and then cooled quickly. As heat is applied the beans will change in color from green to yellow, to ever darkening shades of brown, once the roast level desired is achieved beans are cooled quickly. 2) ABOUT US – We are award-winning family operated coffee supplier. Looks nice in my office, but if you look closely you can tell they are not real wood. Of course the benefit of that is that they are lighter weight and don’t require anything special to hang them with. I’m happy with my purchase. Maybe I’ll upgrade in the future to fancier frames, but for now these are great.
